On the “choose any note” parts, some trumpets just try to play as high as they can and then they crack the note and it sounds shitty. Not surprised.

I'm middle school first violin in symphony orchestra and the fact that you guys are so out of tune and are doing this in concert is not the best it could use a more work before being in a concert Like this is how we played it when we sight read it for the first time

I’m assuming this is a high school jazz band. This would explain several things (odd instrumentation, lack of knowledge of improvisation, weakness of style, etc.) Nonetheless, the bari sax player is the only one putting any stank on the song. Guitar soloist: the progression over which you are soloing does not warrant your staying in G minor the entire time. Learn how to move with the progression. Sax soloists: don’t rush, overblow, and forsake tone and vibrato on the longer notes.
